Eamonn S. Dornan, Esq.

Eamonn Dornan is a skilled lawyer who built an innovative Transatlantic law practice. Mr. Dornan is a visionary in the development of Legal teams of European, North American and Asian lawyers to provide expert legal outsourcing support for global trial and transaction lawyers.

Mr. Dornan also enhance the MLG offering based upon his dynamic TransAtlantic practice. Mr. Dornan, a graduate of Queens University Belfast and University College London, was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1997 and as a Barrister-at-Law admitted to practice at the Bar Library of Ireland in 2011 and the Bar of Northern Ireland in 2012*.

Mr Dornan has practiced before several United States District Courts such as the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and has appeared pro hac vice before U.S. District Courts in New Jersey, Central California and Delaware. Mr. Dornan has argued appellate matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Second, Third and Tenth Circuits, and has petitioned the Supreme Court of the United States.

In tandem with his legal career, Mr. Dornan has served as a theatre producer, artists' advocate, human rights activist, Congressional lobbyist and co-author of federal legislation. In 2008, Mr. Dornan was listed as one of the Most Influential US-Irish Business Leaders by Ireland’s Business and Finance magazine. Mr. Dornan attended Queens University Belfast from 1986-1990, where Mr. Dornan served as president of the Law Society and Vice-President of Entertainments on the students’ union executive. Mr. Dornan later graduated from University College London with an LLM in International Public Law. Mr. Dornan’s work as Legislative Director and congressional liaison for the Emerald Isle Immigration Center resulted in the passage of Irish Peace Process Cultural and Training Act of 1998. In 1999 Mr. Dornan co-founded Smith Dornan & Dehn which attracted some of the most prominent clients in the entertainment industry, including HBO television station, Sony Pictures Television, 20th Century Fox, Channel 4 Television, and Coquette Productions. The law firm became particularly notable for its representation of Sacha Baron Cohen, creator of the Borat, Bruno, and Ali G, characters. The principals of Smith, Dornan & Dehn founded SmithDehn India Private Limited (erstwhile SDD Global Solutions Pvt Ltd.), a full-service legal process outsourcing (“LPO”) company, headquartered in Mysore, Karnataka, India, which was ranked among the premier LPO companies worldwide.

Mr. Dornan has obtained landmark and precedential decisions in several U.S. Courts of Appeals, litigating against major corporations such as the BBC and military defence manufacturer Northrup Grumman, and he has taken the U.S. Government to task on countless occasions over its treatment of immigrants in the Federal courts. Dornan & Associates PLLC was founded in New York in March 2008 and has represented investors, high-profile artists, I.T., legal and finance professionals, as well as media and construction companies in petitions to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

*Pursuant to the respective Codes of Conduct of the Bar of Ireland and Bar of Northern Ireland, Mr. Dornan can only take instructions on matters relating to those jurisdictions or the European Union from a lawyer currently registered with the appropriate governing body in that lawyer’s host state and who is not subject to any regulatory restriction in terms of his/her practice.
